Every Student. Every School. Every Day. DONATE!

The Pasadena Educational Foundation’s 9th annual PUSD middle school robotics competition, Robo Rally, is going to be better than ever thanks to support from the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation and Honda.

Robo Rally is an exciting competition showcasing PUSD student team’s robotic skills while combining the practical application of science and technology with the fun, intense energy of a championship-style sporting event. In the past, our robotics students have built and programmed robots to race to the core of an exploding volcano, drive fast and furious race cars across town, and to be “planetary rovers” racing against time to ensure the survival of a colony on a distant Mars-like planet.

This year’s theme and challenge:

Underwater Ruins

Students will be challenged to program their robots to explore newly discovered underwater ruins that are too deep and dangerous for human divers. To complete the course challenge, robots will be required to autonomously scan key structures as an exploratory probe then retrieve valuable artifacts for later analysis.

On April 12, 2019 the Pasadena Educational Foundation’s Robo Rally 2019 Driven by Honda will be held at the Rose Bowl and it is open to the public.

Competition starts at 10AM. Final rounds and awards ceremony approximately 11:30 a.m.

Robo Rally is designed to be exciting and challenging for students, but also fun and entertaining for spectators.

Stay tuned for more updates on the day’s activities!
